Pillow for Baby Girl

I have been working hard  the last few nights making this pillow for my step-daughters' baby shower. When you  spend  2 or 3 hours each night sewing, you have to love the craft, and I do. I had a deadline that I needed to meet because this baby shower that sort of snuck up on me, so I had to go into full Joanne mode, where I put everything else aside to finish this project.

 

The inspiration for my design was from a simple pillow that my mother used to make. I took her design as a template and turned it into my own. I often get inspiration from other work I am familiar with, but this comes from childhood memories, so it meant more to me to make this one for a child who I have yet to meet.
